Health and Care’s Top 70 Stars

Wendy Mashlan

Wendy is an inspirational lead practitioner, who puts the older person at the heart of her role. She has been involved in numerous journals/publications related to the older person.

She has been involved in links with external agencies including volunteer associations and schools to be involved in dementia care, both for the person and carers, thus helping these agencies to be dementia friends.

Despite “spinning many plates” she always has time for her staff, and through her work she inspires others within her team to be standard barriers, for self development, sharing through education up to date research and thoughts on fraility.

She has won RCN and Nursing Times awards for her work, and as such I feel that it is important for her to be recognised within the Health Board.
