Health and Care’s Top 70 Stars

Judith Fairweather – a tireless champion of inclusivity and opportunity

Judith has been an inspiration to colleagues and mental health service users through over 30 years of NHS service, opening up opportunities for BAME staff and mentoring people from all backgrounds to help them fulfil their potential.

In mental health, she pulled together a BAME arts and music festival, which grew to cover six boroughs (being shortlisted for an NHS Leadership award in the process), and worked tirelessly to reduce stigma.

In advancing others, she pioneered a BAME programme in SWL and St George’s, establishing mentoring, and has brought this experience to NEL, as well as being instrumental in our BAME Forum; please take the time to read the testimonials and find out more about Judith’s amazing and selfless work.
